Introduction
The Cold War which embarked in between 1945 to 1991 was a result of ongoing state of political quarrel, military nervousness, and economic rivalry which went ahead after the Second World War that took place in the year 1939 to 1945. The foremost countries included the Western world powers such as United State, and USSR and its satellite states. However, even though the foremost partakers’ military forces didn’t formally clashed straightforwardly, lather they articulated the conflicts through military alliances, nuclear arms, proxy wars, espionage, propaganda, premeditated convention force deployments, and technological competition, such as the Space Race.
Regardless of being associates against the Axis powers, the United Sate, the USSR, France and the United Kingdom didn’t sail in the same boat during and after the Second World War, most likely about the arrangement of the post war world. Additionally, following the disbanding of the war, most of Europe was been occupied by the most powerful military forces, which were the United State and USSR. Moreover, the Soviet Union formed the Eastern Bloc, which was occupied by the eastern European countries, whereas several as Soviet Socialist Republics, and others persevered as satellite states, where several of them were been consolidated later as the Warsaw Pact in the year 1955 to1991. Some western European countries and the United State established suppression of communism which acted as a defensive policy, setting up alliances to a closing stage such as NATO, 1949.
Also, some of those countries joint hand in hand in building the Western Europe, most likely western German, which was rejected by the USSR. In other region such as Latin America and Southeast Asia, the communist revolution was been fostered by the USSR, but it was opposed by some western countries and also their regional allies: several of them tried to roll back with mixed outcomes. Other countries read in the same script with the Warsaw Pact and the NATO, hitherto non-aligned country blocs also came into sight.
Nonetheless, there was period of international high tension and relatives calm which featured the Cold War- the Korean War (1950-1953), Berlin Blockade (1948-1949), the Berlin Crisis of 1961, the Cuban Missile Crisis (1962), Afghanistan (1979-1989), the Vietnam War (1959-1979), and the Able Archer 83 which NATO calisthenics in November 1983. All sides wanted to alleviate political nervousness and dissuade direct military assault. The main reason for doing this was to make their mutual assured obliteration with nuclear weaponry.
Moreover, in 1980s, the United States went ahead by increasing the military, diplomatic, and economic pressures which wasn’t in favor of the USSR, which was experiencing severe economic stagnation. Later, the Soviet president known as Mikhail Gorbachev came out with the liberation reforms of reconstruction and reorganization in 1987. However, in 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed, and left the United State as the prevailing military power, and Russia producing the most of the Soviet Union’s nuclear armory.
Cold War is known as the age of nuclear, which is a scientific trend. Nonetheless, in 1957, the soviet launched the 1st satellite. Also, there was a tradition creation; marriage age both for men and women decreased, and in 1950s the average birth rate decreased as compared in 1930s. Moreover, people started working at double shift, where women started working outside of home, also the number of employment to women increased to a higher rate, and they started enrolling in nonprofessional, service, and clerical jobs.
After United State emerged as leading manufacturer and exporter after the Second World War, the GNP 3x Soviet Union wasn’t good in 1945 compared in 1960. As the economic was doing well in the country, the life standard increased to a higher one. There was rise in real income in the year 1946-1949. Also, the numbers of families that owes homes increased in 1960. Nevertheless, in 1940 the number of students attending to school increased to at a rapid rate. Nonetheless, the life of people since the Cold War have extremely improve due to various factors which have changed the lifestyle from barbaric to modern life, some of them are school, economic growth etc. However, even though the life of people have extremely improved there are factors which hinders the improvement, and have made it to be worse, such factors are nuclear weapon (like in 1945, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, both in Japan were bombed with atomic bomb by U.S, and up to now its effects have generated genetically which is extremely calamitous), poor leadership, corruption has also diminished the life standards of people.
Conclusion
The Cold War which occurred in 1945-1991 was due to political quarrel, economy rivalry and military nervousness. Although there were no direct combat, countries were staying under pressure of each other. There was exchange of words, blocking the borders which hinder the development of infrastructures etc. Moreover, the USSR and U.S remains as the most powerful military power after the collapsed of Soviet Union in 1991, and Russia remains as the most Soviet Union’s which produced more nuclear armory. Also, there were scientific, economic and cultural trends which emerged as a result of the Cold War, which made the lifestyle to improve, and other’s making it to be shoddier.
