Essay

Both theory and concept analysis were fomented so that there would be an established and shared epistemologies amongst practicing nurses. This process calls for a total of certain steps in which a particular concept is chosen, analyzed  for its purpose, its purpose assessed. All of its attributes and identified uses serves as a paradigmatic case of the concept in order to be analyzed and its ramifications and antecedents assessed. Finally, the references that are empirical in nature are also cogently defined by Walker & Avant (2010). Every level functions as an autonomous role in performances vian a cogent and thorough analysis of the concept, although I believe that the fourth level  of defining the concept forms to most crucial for the development of nursing theory. By procuring a set of connotations and traits, the nurse retains the capacity to develop the optimal comprehension of the very concept itself and therefore retain the capacity to differentiate this concept from other similar manifestations is of paramount importance.

A topic of poignant interest, competency within nursing contexts in which a litany of facets of nursing competency can be evaluated and analyzed. The hallmark attributes of nursing competency refer to the applicability of dexterities in all are arenas for nursing practice roles, instruction that zeroes ompracticed-based learning, competence level of accountability, self-assessment, and how learning experiences are created through autonomous experiences. As such, the learning context for the insurance of competency assurance calls for the evaluation and accountability . Learning contingencies for proficiency affirmation calls for the student in the evaluations as well as the answerability, grants a litany of  practice-based learning liberties in addition to singularizing learning experiences.

Competency is this the concept I chose to explore for this particular assignment because of its efficacy in clinical contexts. Concept and theory analysis consist of six phases in which one chooses a concept, analyze the purpose of the concept, identify the uses of the concept, define its traits and attributes, analyze a case in which the concept is appropriated, and take into account and assess both the ramifications and antecedents of the concept, and define the empirical references (Walker & Avant, 2010). The fourth step is the most significant step within the process of theory development. By procuring a set of attributes, nurses retain the capacity to develop an optimal comprehension of a particular concept, thereby enabling them to differentiate this concept in comparison to those that are similar. Competency as a concept must be evaluated and evinced by nurses in various contexts to proffer patient care that is quite safe. These various steps must be pursued in order to carry out nurse competency: 1. choosing competency as an integral concept; 2. the very purpose of competency as a concept and its analysis is meant to make clear the meaning to the notion of competency as a result of it emerged as a preferred term within nursing contexts; 3. The majority of the utilization of nursing competency called for maintaining an ample knowledge level and/or pedagogical standards in addition to vindicating average technical dexterity;  4. A paradigmatic case of this rudimentary position that can be viewed when a nurse as dexterously developed the knowledge and skills to carry out their knowledge and dexterity so that they can even perform venipuncture through the honing of meticulous skill. 5. The ramifications of this sentiment which includes but is not limited to: the safety of patients; optimal nursing care that is also motivational for patients to persistently learn on a quotidian basis; and getting the mandated nursing education and/or the  prosperous preparation required to evince competency. Empirical references can be analyzed, evaluated, and assessed by taking measurements of the definitive  attributes. It is quite difficult and nuanced to measure accurately the competency of nurses reinforces the efficacy of adhering to not only the established professionals standards but also in an ad hoc fashion.
