In my group, I was able to contribute by conducting research regarding the Chronic Care model, including the discovery of multiple random control studies with the use of the JBI tool. I also provided information in order to complete the required columns with information from articles derived from the database. I believe that it is of critical importance to work in a team-based environment with an open mind and an understanding of the larger picture in order to communicate effectively to solve problems. In this capacity, I have been able to support my team through my contributions and have been largely receptive to other members in addressing the needs of the project. Therefore, I believe that I have been able to compromise and learn from others in order to meet the goals and objectives that have been set forth (Michaelsen & Sweet, 2011). I believe that a team-based approach to a project provides a high level of commitment and support to the team as it aims to be successful in functioning as a solid unit in order to learn from the experience and to meet the requirements that have been set forth (Michaelsen & Sweet, 2011). I have learned that in a team environment, I am able to share my ideas and communicate as best as a I can to improve the team dynamic and to make strides in meeting the team’s objectives in moving forward.

In any team-based setting, it is important to identify the different theories that support this environment and facilitate change through a continuous learning curve (Hrynchak & Batty, 2012). In this manner, I believe that the chosen research strategy must be beneficial on many levels and support the team’s strengths in a positive manner. Therefore, the chosen research instrument must be able to support a method such as grounded theory in order to facilitate outcomes within the surrounding environment that will support the necessary expectations of the team and its overall capacity to learn through the research process. My individual contributions will play a role in this larger framework in order to achieve the desired level of success.
