Business Plan

Background

An organization based on the desire to redefine the way people store data online, NetApp started out as a group dedicated to improving internet computing experiences of the community. The business itself started out in 1993 and has provided state of the art applications that allow users to store data online. With the emergence of cloud computing, the products and services of NetApp even became more in demand. NetApp is an organization based on virtual operations. Using the internet, the business aims to establish a more definite course of distinction on how the organization is going to progress through time. As a virtual organization, NetApp aims to consistently get hold of a particular market sector and continuously provide them of what they need and expect from the business. Notably, it could be realized that with such a setup, the organization is going to be able to make distinct course of improvement, especially when it comes to determining the good essence of reaching out to the target market and making sure that their desires and expectations are responded to accordingly (Berkem, 2008). As an organization focused on making online operations more expansive, the business also provides the development of data-servicing system online. Most of the applications shards by NetApp to their clients are dedicated towards improving a better sense of data-control and management through an online storage application.

Properly defining the pattern of operation that the business is going through as it operates in the international market through the internet gives the organization an insistence of what is meant by modern indication of business growth. Practical options of development are being insisted to be applied especially for the sake of improving the way the organization is going to connect to the market it hopes to give attention to. This has become a part of the organization’s overall success story as it now holds at least $6.3billion in revenue. Serving 12,000 employees operating in more than 150 offices around the globe, the business’ properly established status in the economy is expected to even grow much stronger as the organization continues to innovate on the way it serves the needs of the public.

Goals

It is the aim of the business to create a more workable portal that could be used by mobile and other handheld device users as they search for the right application that they need to use in a daily basis. Among the other goals of the business that shall be carried into consideration within the plan include the following:

  1. To establish a centralized portal that could be used by both itunes and googleplay users to be able to access the most common and most important applications that they might want to get hold of.
  2. To make a connection between the application developers and the right clients needing their skills and talents in the international market
  3. To make an effective manner of marketing that would be easy to communicate towards the target market
  4. To create a manageable option that could be used by the business in operating based on a virtual platform that would be able to consistently exist with the emergence of good human resource program.

These goals define the consistent role of the organization as it embraces the concept of development that the business wants to be noted for. Dependent on modern innovation, the organization also hopes to create emerging applications that would sure be able to provide what the market demands for.

Summary of Products

The products that are provided by the organization are internet-based operational applications that are necessarily produced and distributed to mobile and other hand-held gadgets. Practically, these applications are created to mandate easier options of usability among the members of the target market. The said apps are to range from free to paid programs. The users are to be given proper chance to gain access to ‘lite’ versions to help them decide on whether or not they are going to buy the said applications for the sake of accessing the full version. While the organization is dedicated to following the business-to-client platform, it is expected that the organization would later on expand to embracing a new business-to-business platform that would allow it to expand the market it serves. This insists on the concept of determining the mandate of innovative business operation that would bring a chance for expansion and growth that the company needs.

Conclusion

What makes good company development is the emergence of good distinction on what is understood as necessary innovation. For NetApp, consistently controlling the manner by which the development of applications for mobile phones, computers and other hand held devices is further improved is the goal that defines the overall reason behind the business’ existence is the market (Pison, 2004). Notably, organizations have become more and more competitive and insistent in the ways by which they operate through the internet. This has become a common trend that NetApp aims to embrace as well. Believably, if NetApp tries to define the distinction of growth it is going to take into account, it might be able to survive the trend of competition that it has to hurdle with especially in terms of dealing with the international market.

In consideration with market service and organizational management, handling virtual connections may not be as easy as it may seem. It could be realized that the emergence of modern technology makes managing virtual organizations like NetApp to be much easier to give attention to. Nevertheless, controlling the situation as well as containing the resources needed for such connection is necessary to make sure that the established goals are reached accordingly (Seiegel, et al, 1993). Notably, this is how modern NetApp operations are seen to bring in good essence of development and realization especially in the face of international competition that also goes along with the distinction of how the desires of the market that the business serves gets definite attention.
