Pros and Cons of Teams

In the case of teams, communication is quite essential in terms of getting things done or even accomplishing objectives related to the team. In a number of cases, effective communication can be the greatest advantage for any team; for example, informing a team member of a certain task that will be required to be accomplished by a certain time will facilitate the accomplishment of the task based on the requirements.

An advantage of teams is the ability to delegate. If a large task is subdivided amongst team members, they will be able get the job done better and more effectively. For instance if a team leader divides a task based on individual specialties, they will be able to complete the task accordingly as well as in the time frame for task completion.

A major disadvantage of a team is that if a team member is slow or unable to complete a given task, then the entire team will be slowed or may even be unable to complete the task. For example if an individual is unable or is slow at making the engine of a car, then the whole team will be unable to complete building the car.

Collaborative Writing

Collaborative writing is a factor that a greatly aid any team in a given working environment. In collaborative writing, it is essential for the team involved to have an understanding of the task at hand for successful collaborative writing. With that factor established, collaborative writing has become an advantageous means or manner of writing. Using collaborative writing allows individuals to get assistance when writing an article, and team members are able to review the articles that their teammates have written and make the necessary alterations wherever it will be required.

Another advantage is the fact that collaborative writing accommodates the team members to operate based on their specialties. For instance, when writing a newspaper, the aspects of the newspaper can be subdivided amongst the team members based on their specialties. One individual can write an article based on their high knowledge of sports and so on. On this basis, it can be established that collaborative writing facilitates efficiency.
