Proctor and Gamble is a multinational company that deals in consumer products and it has its headquarters in the United States. Examples of these customer products are products for health, beauty and household care. As stated by Cruell, Hemphill, Seawrigh & Toney (n.d.) Proctor and Gamble’s Vision is to gain global recognition as the producer and provider of the best consumer products and services. They also highlighted that the mission of “Procter and Gamble will continue to serve consumers by continuously innovating products that will allow us to be leaders in household and personal care, health care, and food products.  To produce products with the utmost care to give nothing but quality to our communities.  And to continue to grow so that we can maximize our shareholder’s wealth.”

The company’s financial performance has been impressive because it has managed to pay higher dividends to its shareholders that the average dividends paid by other companies in the industry. The sales and net income average for five years is also above the industry’s which is a good sign. The management’s efficiency is also remarkable compared to the standards set for the industry. The income and revenue ratio is sufficient enough to cover the employees. The financial condition is also promising when checked against the liquidity ratios and profit ratios.

Objective Measure Target Action
 Grow from the core: Leading Brands, Big Markets, Top customers  Focus on Proctor and Gamble’s core business and leading brands.  Have Earnings per share growth of 10%.  Produce a large number of these products to win the biggest customers.
 Increase the sales and profit growth percentage.  Concentrate more on fast growing businesses.  To increase sales in more asset-efficient, faster growing, higher-margin businesses from 18% to 33%.  Shift business portfolio to more Beauty and Personal care businesses
 Extend the affordability and availability of Proctor and Gamble’s brands. Reducing prices of brands and availing them locally.  Contribute 42% of sales growth and 29% of profit growth in developing markets.  Focus mostly on those customers who have low income.
