Communication serves a number of valuable purposes. Auditory communication can be seen in speech, tone of voice, and song, for example. There are also nonverbal types of communication, such as eye contact, body language, touch, and more established forms such as sign language.

Auditory means of communication are utilized most commonly in a direct manner.  For instance, face-to-face communication normally incorporates auditory forms of communication.  It can impart knowledge, collaborate on information, or serve other purposes, such as those along the lines of human expression.

Nonverbal communication is also very important. Whereas body language and eye contact are normally recognized as primary forms of nonverbal communication, nonverbal communication is also extended to media. Writing, visual means, and sound can all be classified as within this area.

Communication is extended to the needs of humans and for other roles.  Communication is an essential aspect of life in many ways, allowing people to express themselves and share information. However, communication has also grown substantially throughout human history, allowing people from all over the world to communicate much better, largely in part due to technology that is used in communication.

Overall the many types of communication fill many needs and luxuries in life.  From the essential forms of human expression to the communication on the Internet, for example, communication is well-documented in life.  Over the course of history is has grown substantially.
