Research Paper

Introduction

The study is based on the analysis of the company GEICO, which is an insurance company that is seeking to improve its general level of operation. The study is based on seeking as well as providing a solution to the current problem.

Literature Review

The article provides a general outlook on the corporation as well as defining the general aspect of GEICO. The article reveals the factors that form the company as well as how the corporation operates and the factors that have led to its success. The article establishes the ideologies that are implemented in its management.

The Research Problem

GEICO has developed in an ideal manner, but it has developed a significant problem based on the research field. The research problem is that GEICO have not consented on whether they are to conduct businesses within the Interstates and or Cross-states. Government Employees of Insurance Companies (GEICO) have a license to provide a discount program for defensive drivers in all 51 states and work in conjunction with the All-State Department of Motor Vehicles. (Maryland Auto Injury Attorney, 2011)

Purpose of the Study

The purpose of the study is to establish the best measure that will serve to benefit the corporation, based on its operation. The study will seek to establish the two ideologies of operation and how they will affect the corporation. It will seek to establish the best option for the corporation in terms of the study. The outcome of the study will serve to remove the stumbling block in terms of preference to the corporation’s mode of operation.(GEICO, 2011)

Research Questions

GEICO do require a definitive guideline that will ensure that the corporation is able to apply the factors that will allow them to conduct their business either in interstate or Cross-state. It will therefore be up to the management of GEICO to answer the following questions:

  • What are the pros and cons of operating interstate and operating Cross-state? (Reciprocal Management, 2011)
  • Which of the two ideologies will serve to provide the corporation with the most benefits?
  • Which of the options is more profitable as well as efficient? (Reciprocal Management, 2011)
  • Which option will have the lowest level of expenses?
  • What kind of materials will be permitted in their choice of operation?(Reciprocal Management, 2011)

Hypothesis Statement

The probable conclusion from the questions will be that the corporation will require operating using the option of Interstate, which will prove to be the most efficient option. This will due to the assessment that the cost of operations will be lower and the revenue generation will be higher based on the net profit.

Significance of the Study

The significance of the study is to provide a solution as to the next ideal mode of operation in terms of providing a new option for the corporation to making more money. The study will serve to provide a new factor of operation that will increase the corporation’s revenue, as well as end the major headache that hindered the development of the corporation.
