The Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship, Essay Example

I am Jennifer C., a senior at XXX University with a Psychology major and a History minor. I chose Psychology major because since my young age, I have been fascinated by human behavior and social relationships. I am often told I am really good at understanding people as well as communicating with them. This may be because I do not judge people andtry to see things from their point of view. At the same time, I am also grateful for my friends and family memberswithout whom I could not have come this far in life. These personal experiences have taught me the value of selfless service to your fellow human beings.

I am aware of the fact that psychology majors can pursue lucrative private psychiatrist practice but my dream is to become a college counselor so that I can help as many people as possible.I plan to pursue a Graduate degree after completing my Undergraduate in order to learn as much as possible. I have also been looking into psychology seminars to supplement my college education and this scholarship award will go a long way towards supporting the costs of psychology seminars. I believe I deserve this scholarship because this award will be an investment in my education with compounding returns. This scholarship will help me with my dream of becoming a college counselor so that I am able to help college students with their problems for many years to come.
