The Global Talent, Essay Example

Words: 202

Essay

One of the most common challenges of implementing a new HR metric is that to do so, high investments will be necessary in the beginning of this process. Since budget is a serious concern in HR, it is essential to demonstrate the usefulness of the new policy. To ensure that employees are onboard with this change, it is essential to detail what the policy is, how it differs from previous policies, and how it is expected to help (Griffin, 2010). Once this information is distributed, it is necessary to detail the costs per item that it will require to jumpstart this metric. Since the long-term goal of the HR metric will be to reduce costs and increase efficiency within an organization, it is also important to include information on how this will occur and how long it will take for the employees to see the payoff of the new policy (Redford, 2006).
