The Governance of Bill de Blassio, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 259

Essay

Under the governance of Bill de Blassio, New York City has incurred a dramatic rate of decline in its unemployment rate. It could not be denied that his governing approach used on the thriving city has affected so much of the most pertinent situations that are affecting the people. According to relative economic reports, the gradual decline of the unemployment rate in the city is currently at its highest; which could be noted at 8% decline. Relatively though, this rate is still the highest among all the states in the nation. Considerably, such indication relates to the fact that New York is also among the most populous cities in the country.

The creation of new policies directed by the city government in partnership with the national programs implemented by the Labor Department, New York City’s thriving economy continues to get a boost from the empowerment of the people. Compared to the past years of policies being implemented among business establishments, the current labor policy in the city makes it harder for business organizations to simply lay off workers based on contractual job agreements. Practically adjusting the systems and making them more beneficial for both the employees and the business owners made it easier to lower down the rate of unemployment in the city.

People are still coming in New York and it is expected that somehow, the rate of unemployment will again rise. Nevertheless, with the continuous implementation of good economic policies in the city, the government will not go wrong with going with a program that specifically hosts economic boosting.
