Words: 295

Essay

If you could go anywhere in the world where would that be and why?

If I could go anywhere in the world, I would want to visit the Great Pyramid at Giza. As a child, I learned a lot about the construction of pyramids and ancient Egyptian culture and was captivated by stories that were told about the great rulers of Egypt in addition to the magnificent structures they left behind. I believe that the Great Pyramid truly represents the accomplishments of the ancient Egyptians, who were able to build a significantly vast structure without the use of technology. If people were to attempt a similar feat today, it would be extremely challenging even with the use of modern innovation.

Overall, I think a lot could be learned by studying the great structures left behind by ancient societies. They reflect the wonder that man is capable of and demonstrates that when individuals work together, they can contribute to impressive achievements. Looking at the Great Pyramid, I believe that I will be filled with a sense of motivation that will allow me to accept the challenges I face in my own life and find ways to overcome them. Even though I feel that the problems I deal with are complex, it is important to consider that others are often challenged by more complex ordeals. As a result, visiting the Great Pyramids would be a humbling experience. Not only would visiting this site help me learn more about ancient Egyptian culture, it will also allow me to value the abilities of man more significantly. In times of trouble, I will be able to think about the efforts put in by the engineers of the Great Pyramid and be more able to accomplish my own tasks through a renewed perseverance.
