Pages: 1

Words: 284

Research Paper

One of the challenges that that public policy analysts may face today is the huge population change which has led to implications in their current productivity and labor force. Besides, it also affects our future labor force and productivity. As a result, it profoundly affects immigration and programmers of social welfare. The industrialized countries have a high rate of labor force hence high productivity, creating pressure to the developing countries. For example, the US has a high labor force and may export labor to other countries like Canada. For Canada to solve this problem, the government need to reform a series of social welfare programmers. The other issue that political analysts may face is determining the rate of poverty in a country to facilitate equitable distribution of resources. The key to reducing poverty is by lowering employee turnover in developing countries and provide more job opportunities to people.

The population is expected to increase for the next 10 to 20 years by over 40 million, but the increase rate will shrink significantly. As a result, public policy analysts will have significant problem planning for the future of their country. It is projected that by 2036 the working population will be around 45% of the total population. Therefore, in order to solve the problem, jobs should be given regarding the capability and ability of the employers. The second problem that public policy analysts may face while planning for the future is the uncertainty due to the high growth rate of technology. Public policy analysts need to put in place a flexible system that can quickly adapt to future changes in technology.
