The Infinite Characteristics of Living Things, Thesis Paper Example

The objective of this lesson is to compare unicellular and multicelluar living organisms in order to show each organism possess the ability to respond, reproduce and grow.

Goals

Distinctly learn the difference between a uni-cellular and multi-cellular organism, learn the definition of each and compare the different types of organisms in our environment.

Objectives

Students will accurately be able to describe the differences between living a non-living organism and classify them into sub-categories.

Students will further be able to create a level or kingdom of organism to describe each disciple of the organisms and why each applies to such category.

Learning Standards

Sponges, coral and seaweed will be presented to each student for observation. Students will use the aid of their books and the internet to find out information to correctly classify the organisms. Students may participate in class discussion amongst each other to complete the assignment. All sources of information must be correctly documented for the purpose of this study.

Scientific Method and Query

1. To observe sponges, coral and seaweed in a closed laboratory setting to determine if they are living or non-living organisms.
2. This will be accomplished through sense of touch and sight.
3. Follow the chart described below for accuracy.
4. Record results and make conclusions based on observations.
