The Life of Daniel, Poem Example

Pages: 1

Words: 184

Poem

Daniel was a young man

but a faithful man was he,

learning his education

in Babylonian captivity.

An interpreter of dreams

a prophet of the divine-

Daniel was called

to save all of mankind.

Daniel was a prophet

Daniel was divine

Daniel could interpret dreams

Daniel was sublime.

Daniel was a brave man

who fought for his beliefs

he served four kings proudly

but in faith he found relief.

In a polytheistic world

Daniel was a glimmer of hope

He provided a sense of comfort

for which the people could cope.

Daniel was a prophet

Daniel was divine

Daniel could interpret dreams

Daniel was sublime.

Daniel was a faithful man,

his trust remained with God.

but even those close to him,

knew he was no fraud.

Daniel had much faith

and Daniel had much honor

an honest and a holy man

A pleasant man, a kind man

Daniel was a charmer.

Daniel was a prophet

Daniel was divine

Daniel could interpret dreams

Daniel was sublime.

In the end, Daniel was strong

despite much opposition

his opponents wanted to kill him

and Daniel was in a sticky situation.

Daniel remained strong

despite facing death-

in a den filled with lions

Daniel did not take his last breath.

Walking out unscathed,

some realized his faith

some realized his God

some began to relate.

Daniel was a prophet

Daniel was divine

Daniel could interpret dreams

Daniel was sublime.

Time is precious

Time is precious

don’t waste it!
