Recession is a period of temporary economic decline in a well-established monitory policy. During this period, there is a reduction of trade and industrial activity reduced. The exogenous forces causing recessions include productivity, monetary shocks and government purchases. It is during this period of recession that the central bank responds to outside forces, thus fights to keep inflation as low as possible, works towards offsetting booms and recessions.
