The Other Side of the Psychopaths, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 289

Essay

The final thesis about my research project about psychopaths is “despite the difficulties affecting the psychopaths, they can live a successful life.” Psychopaths have been treated as people with mental retardation that they should be admitted or enrolled in a psychiatric hospital for frequent examination and monitoring. My research aim is to describe that psychopaths can live a successful live like any other human being. Psychopaths have certain characteristic, which allow them to be intelligent, relentless, and focus. The wisdom of psychopaths is higher than that of the normal person. In this study, I am demonstrating that not all psychopathic symptoms are negative. Psychopaths do not feel fear especially when it comes to emergencies as compared to the normal people. From the study about the astronauts, Armstrong was having psychopathic characteristics but he managed to determine the landing space without fear.

Psychopaths are rationalists; this means they can make better decisions than the normal people can. This is proved by the two studies about the trolleys. The first one both psychopath and the normal person agreed as they arrived at the same answer. In the second one, the psychopath agreed to lose the life of one person and save five. On the other hand, the normal person disagreed which means that the normal person would risk losing five people and save one person.

From the studies, the psychopaths should be treated like the normal people. They should not be taken for chance that they cannot live a successful life. This is proved by the above studies that they can even make better decisions than the normal people can. In our society we should do anything possible make them field part of the society such that they can be happy and comfortable.
