The Poem I Wrote, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 290

Essay

Firstly, the memoir I wrote is based on my real feelings and real things that happened in my life when I was 17. I put a lot of real emotions into the memoir. Seemingly, my father’s death may be the most effective thing for me till now. Actually, it is easy for me to write this memoir because the only thing I do is put all my real feelings and all the things I have been through into it the poem. I put these observations into the memoir by transferring them to depicting the scenery, so that the scenery can serve as a mirror of how I felt during that time. It is quite exciting to let the readers feel like they can see the situation at the same time hence making my story touch their lives and their senses of understanding the real worth of fathers.

For my second poem, I wrote about my broken hearted journey towards life when my ex-girlfriend cheated on me. I put a lot of efforts for her during our long-distance relationship. It was my first time to ever love and this situation was rather an eye-opener to me about what relationships are about. I put the Plath’s poem at the start of my poem because I want readers feel the sadness, the loneliness that comes along with the betrayal that I have been through. In the end, I make it clear that I have already been through all the pain and I am ready to take on a new life without my girlfriend. I pointed out that I’m ready to take on new challenges and that I am more realistic about relationships now with all the lessons I have learned from my first heartbreak.
