The United States President Bush presented the obliteration of evil as simple case of good eradicating evil. The President was responding to terrorist with his speech to American saying these evil forces must be eradicated and punished. The author indicates that many nations’ leaders use this concept of evil loosely to validate destruction or war. The author believes this definition of evil is a misleading concept that supports the countries justice system to stop evil doers. They are suggesting that all bad people commit crimes and inherently people are evil which should be wiped from the earth. The author point out that the President suggested that all people who are perceived as evil or bad should be lock away because of their evil behavior or actions. This concept continues to fuel wars in the past and in the future. The same evil story is told that a group is fighting another group because they are the evil nation or evil country or evil people. The hate is manufactured to make nations believe they are destroying evil and killing is the right solutions. The author’s main point is the world is using the eradication of evil as misleading and unethical way of thinking.
The authors reasoning is evil is expounded by others as anyone or country that cannot empathize with other points of views is evil. As a result, they want others to believe that the good country is justified in killing the evil people. The evil people are denying the good country basic needs which is evil. The statements by President Bush indicate that the world is evil, selfish, and narcissistic, therefore we are right to eradicate those who are evil. The author contended that the good people are just as evil because they pretend them to be righteous. However, they are condemning terrorist to death, the same way the terrorist kills. The author believes that good and evil is used in way to justify violent actions. They believe that working on the side of good makes it permissible to eradicate perceived evil people or an evil empire. The author is indicating that the good perceptions are the primary people who refuse to see both sides of the coin. The United States wants to be perceived as the good country in all instances, regardless of whether they are wrong or right. They justify killing or bombing because they were in the right and the other countries were the evil of the world that must be removed.
I disagree with the author because the statements about evil do not make that man, person, or county evil for voicing his opinions about evil. The President’s statements do not control the thoughts of governments and all people. It conveys the position the leader of the free country concerning terror. In fact, it is the truth that anyone that takes the life of others including their own people is evil. They should be called out in the world as cowards and evil. It is right to defend others against the acts of terrorist who attacked innocent people. It was proper that the terrorist were put on notice by the President. They must understand that we will stop at nothing to prevent this from happening again on the land of the United States.
The United States of America is following the constitution, legislation, civil rights, freedom of speech, and the Fourth Amendment. The terrorist is one who engages in acts of terror in the name of a cause that has no significance on another’s land. If the Syrians are unhappy about the amount of country they occupy, as result they kill people in Russia is wrong and evil. In addition, they will kill their own people to make a point about their personal beliefs. The author is trying to make the United States the evil kingdom that is using the words good and evil to punish the terrorist. There are instances of evil where the people lost faith. The Germans genocide of Jews is a perfect example of a leader that lost faith and allowed his people to lose faith. As result, they killed millions because they perceived the Jews to be evil. In this case, the Germans were evil with the intentions of killing every race until only Germans remained in power. The author did not make a fair case with the presentation of the United States as the one that should be cautioned on how they use the words good and evil. The United States is the country where immigrants flee to find a piece of the American Dream. They come here because of the years of oppression by the own native origins. The author would have made a better argument just sticking to what is the difference between good and evil without using the United States as the scapegoat.
