My approach towardsthe mandatoryebola21 day quarantine for health workers returning from West Africa is twofold. First it is my perception that this mandatory 21 days is fine if the person is infected. Usually, quarantine is not mandated for a person who is no infected. As such, this might be a violation of the person human rignhtds compromising dignity (Eysenbach , 241).Next ensuring safety of the population is a responsibility of public health. The measures they adopt in doing so are acceptable if they are within the confines of the law. Many people who do not understand the seriousness of the disease may think that this is harsh. However the nation must feel safe.  The first ebola victim did not disclose his status until late. Even though lives have not been claimed two nurses became infected The virus is more dangerous than an ordinary flu virus so surveillance is necessary (Ginsberg, Mohebbi, Patel, Brammer,Smolinski, &Brilliant, 1012).

Consequently, the approach a congressman could take in addressing this disease should embrace three domains, political social and economic.  First violation of human integrity form a social perspective stigmatization etc must be taken before congress. The way people who have been infected with disease viewed by society must be addressed either by protocol or legislation. The government must expend enough money for ebola research and surveillance in the country(The World Bank). Adequate funding must go towards screenings and detection of potential cases. Finally, there must be a political mandate regarding ebola. It should consist of exempting people travelling form countries where infected are infexctedwithgebola from entering the united states of America(National congress of state legislations (NCSL)
