Transcribed Recording, Essay Example

Essay

This transcribed recording from Cheisea Jimenez appears to be focused on fictional heroes from television and movies. It is clear that the fictional characters Cheisea chose to talk about reflect her own personality. She clearly admires these heroes, the role they play in their respective story lines, and what they stand for.

The first fictional character that Cheisea describes in this transcribed recording was from the Netflix television show entitled Dare Devil. This television show, Dare Devil, surrounds the fictional character that goes by the name Matt Murdock. Murdock lives in New York City and works as a criminal attorney. In the night time, Murdock drops his role as a lawyer and goes into the city fighting crime as a vigilante who goes by the alias Dare Devil. This classic super hero story line presents the Dare Devil wearing a red spandex costume and fighting the crime in New York City that slips through the cracks of law enforcement. Murdock was blinded as a child due to a toxic chemical accident, but at the same time he picked up a special ability to sense anything around him. His powers are similar to the abilities of a bat as he can see sound waves.

The next fictional character that Cheisea describes is from the motion picture Taken. Bryan Mills, played by actor Liam Neeson, is on a mission to save his daughter whom was kidnapped by terrorist for ransom money. Mills does not have any super powers like the Dare Devil, but he does have special training from the CIA that allows him to take down the terrorist organization that took his daughter.

Cheisea suggests in this transcribed recording that the Dare Devil is not a nice super hero as he usually acts on instincts while breaking the very laws he protects as a lawyer. He does so however, to fight off crime where the justice system failed.
