Translation of company’s broad strategic goals into HR policies and practices using several tools helps in reducing the gap that exists between ambition and performance. The gap is in most cases attributed to the disconnect between the formulation of strategies and their execution as well as failure to incorporate the tools in the process. Most companies fail in creating awareness of their strategies to their employees due to failure of applying the relevant tools. The tools facilitate employees to come closer to clients and awareness of the strategy leading to value creation and effective implementation of the strategies (Dessler, 2015).

The use of such tools as the strategy map, the HR scorecard, and the digital dashboard leads to the achievement of performance breakthroughs through enhanced communication to workers and guidance in the monitoring of strategy execution (Dessler, 2015). This creates the difference between the organizations that achieve sustainable improvements and those that are unable to achieve the same. The application of these tools facilitates in the creation of some units at corporate level that serves as oversights to the strategy related business activities. The realization of the vital contribution of broad strategic goals into HR policies and practices in the organization is an important consideration and its achievement depends on the effectiveness of incorporating the relevant tools during execution.
