Words: 334

Essay

Nursing is a primary to the delivery of health care, as well as increasingly leading contributor to the evidence-based practice in healthcare settings. Translation science or translational research stresses the translation of the  results or findings of fundamental discovery research into clinical application by carrying out clinical trials. It is more about clinical trials to test discoveries. The component of translation science is that it improves the translation of fundamental research findings into routine clinical practice, where nurses can use to promote patient care. It entails knowledge translation to intervention development, that is, clinical trials. The translation is triggered by the knowledge and discovery gap that exists in the healthcare settings. Therefore, a gap remains one of the components that links research and the actual clinical practice among the nurses (Jaccard  & Jacoby, 2010).

Advanced nurse perspective entails the use of evidence-based practices to give holistic patient care. The following components are important towards knowledge management in advanced nurse perspective : system inputs where knowledge , persons, as well as tools obligatory for the system in which the health management should interact with information in order to gain knowledge of patients, and tools that are crucial for delivering quality and effective care.  The advanced nurse perspective demonstrates greater depth, as well as breadth of knowledge , a greater synthesis of data , enhanced complexity of skills , and interventions and higher role autonomy. Advanced nurse perspective employs competent theories , methods, concepts , as well as tools to which are essential for analyzing information and applying the same information to administering treatment to the patient. It entails assessing the available evidence and using to support the health of the patients (Fawcett et al, 2004).
