A visit to Travelocity.com will give you a certain look and feel. This brief paper discusses some of the more important features of the site and the relative ease by which a visitor may navigate Travelocity’s various resources.

The first thing a visitor encounters is four search tabs. The first one provides the opportunity for a traveler to book a plane, car, hotel, cruise, or combination thereof, for an upcoming trip. The second, “My Deals,” provides a platform through which the traveler may search through featured flight deals and other best deals as deemed laudable by the Travelocity staff. The third tab allows searches for popular destinations and vacation theme trips. “My Travelocity,” the fourth tab, gives immediate access to user rewards, itineraries, and other account information. It also gives the user the ability to track future travel deals from a pre-selected wish list and gives users the chance to write reviews about the places they have visited.

A second tier of search tabs gives more of the same information and adds searchers for “Last Minute Packages,” “Activities,” and “ExperienceFinder.” These offer insight into extra values that crop up on short notice, things to do once a traveler has selected a destination, and the most essential things that areas have to offer, based on previous traveler feedback, respectively.

The third thing that strikes the attention of a visitor to this site is that Travelocity is global in its reach. Twenty-two country flags are shown at the bottom of the main page. Users may click on any of these to have the information given to them in the language of that country. The mascot for the company is a cute little Gnome. He is featured and even has his own page called the “Gnome Home,” where customers have the opportunity to purchase Gnome figures, accessories, apparel, and drink ware with Travelocity’s logo on them.

There is a wealth of information here. It is updated constantly.
