Truman Capote Mini Bio, Essay Example

Essay

Judging from Truman Capotes biography, he most probably would have not been able to fit in in Kansas 1960s because of the manner in which he was not used to the killings that were going on in there at the time. The link to the biography is as follows: http://www.biography.com/people/truman-capote-9237547/videos/truman-capote-mini-bio-2174103286. In my opinion, the new environment would have proved to be overwhelming to him and he might not have been able to effectively fit in in order to get the story.

In my opinion, Perry Smith is undoubtedly one of the characters who was completely altered in order to make the story a better one. The manner in which he sucks his thumb and wets his bed shows that the character is not all the he portrays that he is at the beginnings of the novel. Through this, Capote is able to show that even the strongest characters at times have weak points and down moments.

It is without a doubt that the novel Going After Cacciato by Tim OBrien is told from a third person perspective. Specifically, this third person is the protagonist, known as Paul Berlin in the novel. As the novel unfolds, it is clearly seen within the text that Paul Berlin is the one responsible for conjuring up the chase after Cacciato. From there, the whole story is told from his perspective. Now, because it is told in this perspective, the audience only learn of what Mr. Berlin know. This is unlike other types of writing, referred to as omniscient point of view.
