Why Is the U.S. Gay Rights Movement Succeeding? (in the ways that it is now, when not too long ago, it was not doing as well.)

The gay rights movement has succeeded on the doorsteps of civil rights and equal rights for all people. The question is not whether they are right or wrong about men and women of the same sex being married and receiving the same rights as all married couples in the United States. It’s about equality regardless the reason that group wants that Civil Rights based on the constitution. It’s about civil rights which gays have the individual and political rights that protect a class of people and their individual freedoms from any infringement by organization, government.

The civil rights guarantee that gays have the right and freedom to participate in the civil and political life without discrimination. It is clear in the constitution and civil rights that no one will be discriminated against based on race, origin, color, sexual orientation or religion. Yes, this includes the US Gay Rights Movement. The turning point in American history was a Supreme Court judge in a ruling for that any laws aimed to alienate gays was unconstitutional said Justice Anthony Kennedy. Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote” Liberty presumes an autonomy of self that includes freedom of thought, belief, expression, and certain intimate conduct”. In the same year, Chief Justice in the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Courts wrote” to “deny the protections, benefits, and obligations conferred by civil marriage” to gay couples was unconstitutional because it denied “the dignity and equality of all individuals” and made them “second-class citizens. These landmark decisions all contributed to the success of the Gay Rights Movement. The Gay Right Movement opens the doors for any other citizen to fight for their cause in the name of civil freedom, civil liberties and individual rights that cannot be suppressed by the government.
