Summary

The seven hundred years of Spanish history is defined as an event worthy of study due to its insightful impact on how Christianity has been affecting the lives of others and how other beliefs affected the said system of belief. The other beliefs included Islam and Judaism. The mixture of cultures that made it possible for the instance of an occurring connection between the said religions have been dated back when the Christian belief has been used as a representative of their empire as they go on conquering other countries.  From the point of its beginning, the story of this long history has ended when the last standing location of Islam in Spain has been conquered down. In the written history of Spain that Lowney introduced he made mention of the different names of important individuals who made the history of Spain as colorful as it has been noted for.

Main theme of Reading

From this point, it has been realized how Lowney’s approach followed a different pattern of defining Spain’s history as instead of pointing out how separate Christendom and Islam belief is from each other along with the existence of Jewish influence in its history, he made mention of how close those three particular beliefs are between each other and how their borders could be more fluid than solid, which he imposes to be a rather positive matter to give attention to in this era of Spain’s history.

Analysis

It is very important that history is looked upon in different perspectives, in this case, both the positive and negative aspects of it. It could be analyzed that within the reaction paper that has been reviewed that Lowney’s historical account on the emergence of cultural and religious mix-up in Spain is specifically mandated to have a definite impact on how the current generation views this particular aspect of the country’s remarkable past. With the use of other literary forms of art, Lowney was able to make it a point that the ideal pattern of historical department that surrounds Catholicism and the Islamic belief are both directed towards a positive cause for the society’s progress, however is now being viewed as somewhat impossible to happen.
