In Martin Rees’ written book on Just Six Numbers, he explores the different numbers that represent cosmological balance. In relation to this, he tries to define the cosmological constant as per explained by Albert Einstein to be a relative number that is measured by science and has been proven a source of universal equilibrium that sets the different elements of the universe in a rather strategic position that specifically supports and protects life on earth from the outskirts of its boundaries in the vast universe. With the many elements existing outside the earth’s surface, it has been explained by Rees that such a constant is important especially in assuring that the earth is protected from any collision from any particular element in the universe therefore jeopardizing the life of humans on earth.
From the explanations presented by Rees as a sense of support to that of the presentation of Einstein with regards the existence of a cosmological constant which is assumed in Rees’ book to be “just a number” a sense of balance is set, a relative condition that makes it possible for humans to exist on earth amidst all the different elements that exists around them especially coming from outside the universe. The gases, the other universal bodies the universe contains and other matters that specifically affect human living are kept at a safe place away from having the capacity to endanger human living. All these in support for the creation and maintenance of life could have not resulted from mere banging of elements, a mere collision of matters that happened years ago.
The intricate process by which the system of existence between these elements is controlled specifically points out to the one who controls the said elements, and notably the one who created the system so as to make sure that the earth would be sustainable for human living. The suggestive explanation presented through evolution in line with the Big Bang theory is then proven faulty by the fact that everything has been set in balance and has been constantly in balance ever since. Nothing specifically systematic can come from a chaotic beginning.
The indication of details and the assured position of each element, each matter in the universe is a proof that somehow, someone more superior than humans and the power of the universe is controlling everything else. With full concern to human life and life as a whole, this intelligent designer follows a mathematical and logical system that no human could tend to copy as its superiority surpasses the human capacity. The only thing a human being could do is to remain in awe as he observes the different aspects of development that this particular designer has created for the sake of assuring that life could exist on planet earth.
The complexity and the competence of such a balanced system simply suggests of the existence of an intelligent creator who for some reasons have made it sure that the earth would be suitable for supporting life and all the other elements around it would contribute to such matter. Simply observing how the sun, the mood and even the stars are specifically placed at a perfect distance from the earth insists on the fact that someone is watching over the system hence creating massive control on matters that affect the life of humans on earth, making it more enjoyable, sustainable and extensively satisfying; a basic proof that God indeed exists.
