The value of healthcare differs from one aspect of the community to another. Relatively, it could be analyzed that when it comes to the role of nurses to provide extensive care to patients, there are instances when such differences in value perception comes into a specific hindrance especially when it comes to competently completing their tasks. What particular differences are present when it comes to applying nursing care approaches and how they are applied in actual medical assistance proceedings? This discussion shall provide a brief indication on what the differences are and how they are affecting the performance of nurses all around the globe.

Basically, nurses are directed to perform medical tasks that are assured to create a definitive course of development that would aid patients towards proper recovery. It could be noticed that the capacity of each nurse to respond to such task is an important aspect of how they are to be reputably recognized in their field. Guided by protocols and rules, nurses are expected to operate within the context of the regulations that basically bind them to their professional responsibilities.

Another aspect that nurses are expected to respond to however is the personal and cultural references of their patients. IN line with their desire to help their patients recover, they are also demanded to follow through the healthcare values that their patients believe in. Cultural and individual values towards medication procedures have become a common source of conflict between nurses and patients for several years now. The right to live versus the right to respect one’s personal and cultural belief often contradicts each other especially when it comes to handling crucial points of medication.

Patients of course demand for their right to be respected. For instance, the DNR or Do-Not-Resuscitate rule that some patients apply for keep away nurses and other medical personnel from furthering medication and diagnosis once the patient demands it to be stopped. This is regardless of the fact that at some point some still believe that the patient have chances to living longer and recovering from the ailment that they are suffering from.

Today, the issue continues, nurses remain grounded to their desire to help and to aid individuals towards faster and more efficient recovery. Nevertheless, the medical legalities continue to be grounded upon the need to respect the rights of the patients no matter how possibly unthinkable their decisions might be. Relatively, this issue of debate continues to affect the performance of nurses and the competence they are establishing when pushing for their own belief when it comes to fulfilling their duties to the public against all possible odds.
