Question One

Colonization is defined as a movement of a large-scale population. The migrants maintain a strong link with their former country making them gain more privileges over other countries. Europe was colonized by five countries: Spain, France, Portugal, Germany, and Great Britain. Europe learned some positive and negative information from their colonization. The colonization happened in waves, that is, in the 15th,16th, and 17th centuries. Colonization for the Americans by the Europeans was the procedure that the immigrants inhabited the areas of the central, north, south, central America, and the Caribbean islands.

Europe benefited in numerous ways from the colonization. One of them is economic development. When Europe was colonized, the economy began surging as their colonizers were also looking for greener pastures. The region primarily benefited from acquiring some favors that increased trade among themselves and their neighboring countries. There was proper medical care provided, especially during the pandemic where the diseases broke. The colonizers had better health care facilities, and they never failed to help the Europeans. Besides, women were allowed to have a voice. The poverty gap was also reduced when Europe was colonized as the citizens could work and gain their daily bread.

Food security was guaranteed as the colonizers had advanced ways of preserving food considering the drought days. Political development was assured with the counties that colonized Europe as they were advanced in their political system. Europe was at the advantage of having an improved education system that would enhance literacy levels among the children bridging the poverty gap. There was developed infrastructure improving the means of transport to standard admirable levels. Civilization was enhanced to the point that after colonization Europe grew to become a first-world country. Corruption was discouraged in Europe, where harsh punishments were given to those that were corrupt. Europe, after colonization, went ahead to colonize other lands, passing the same advantages they had gained to other countries, promoting their future development.

Consequences for the World of the European and African Contact With the Americas

The European contact with both the Africans and Americans enabled the adoption of the two regions’ approach. Moreover, the areas adopted their language, clothing, religion, and economic activities. The European provided immunizations of deadly diseases. They introduced the European culture to the individuals to change their native behaviors of Americans and African. The consequences played a considerable role in Europe’s colonized cultures, entirely changing and forgetting their old cultures.

Question Two

The changes that came with the English colonies include the Spanish Armada’s defeat, which played a massive part in North America’s colonization. There was a strong lead to a nationalism sense of English, letting there be a need for exploration expansion. Religion and economics needed to be changed and reshaped to how the English colonies wanted it to look. The peace treaty between the English People and those in Spain had to be observed looking the west onwards to establish more colonies.

There was gold in Northern America; thus, this attracted the Europeans to colonize it for their gain and be colonized to help in their Economy’s growth. The Economies grew, opening doors to improved infrastructure. The infrastructure led to increased trading opportunities among the colonialists and also the people of North America. The people of North America’s reasoning was improved, causing more significant developments such as the need to gain a good education.

There was a reformation protest that needed the North American economy to grow beyond how they were; the cases of the slave trade had to come to an end as it was a violation of human rights. There were more opportunities for creating money that could make other than the slave trade. The change in North America was out of necessity as famine cases needed to be reduced. Warfare enabled the English people to get its fulfillment of selling resources and more goods to the countries they colonize than the products they bought.

The Implications of the Changes That Came Along for the English Colonies

There were change implications that came with the English colonies’ changes, whereby their way of life changed quickly. There were the loos of land where the English colonies grabbed the North Americans’ lands for their gain. There were enforced laws against the natives’ beliefs, and they were forced to follow them for the English people to gain control over them. The English colonialists were able to expand their industries to North America, growing their Economy first before North Americans. There were improved medical care facilities and sanitation methods, stopping the many deaths that used to happen due to lack of these amenities.

The English colonies’ political oppression was reduced as the English colonialists belied in a democratic way of doing things. The citizens had a say in what happed in their lives by stopping cases of corruption that had stopped North America from growing. Urbanization came with the change of social systems of living, meaning there would be a lot of environmental pollution, causing more foreign diseases to affect the natives of North America. With more conditions came higher death rates reducing the population of North America’s people, giving more superiority to the colonizers.

Question Three

The rapid economic growth cases among the British North American colonies were due to the high poverty cases that play a considerable role in rapid growth, causing overpopulation. When people are poor, they tend to reproduce at a high rate due to a lot of idle time. The overpopulation is brought about by the poor knowledge of contraceptives meant to stop unwanted pregnancies. Secondly, reduced mortality rates are lowering the life expectancy among the people. The fertility treatment medications given are not up to standard caused a lot of infertility issues that led to the women being stigmatized.

Stigmatization causes depression which is one of the mental illnesses problems that cases of infertility can stimulate. Rapid economic growth caused high immigration levels, making there be reduced land spaces; with immigration came the displacement of the natives that pushed them to the areas with appalling living conditions. With urbanization, there was the cutting down of numerous trees, causing water, air, and soil pollution making it very unhealthy for the people around. More resources were consumed with the rapid growth changing the face of the  British North American Colonies.

Rapid economic growth was also caused by the high cases of illiteracy amongst the nations being colonized. There was the expansion of large towns and cities, levitation of some people’s living standards, and the emergence of the affluent and the underpriviledge classes in the society. The people’s attitudes due to improved standards of people are positive, and those with lower living standards are bad not seeing the positive side of colonization. The loss of native culture lets there be a loss of an exciting culture explaining the people identified to the generations that came afterward. The rapid growth came with increased child labor cases by being overworked and lacking the essential commodities.

The politics of the country was affected both positively and negatively. The institution of politics was strained, increasing the pressure of giving better services. The uncontrolled growth of urban centers forced the British colonies to be slaves of their colonizes as they had to always depend on them being more developed to help sustain their economies by acquiring more loans. The loans grant the colonialists the mandate to say how the government is supposed to be run to work for their advantage.
