Visual Aid, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 330

Essay

The idea of this visual aid came with the recognition of the importance of today’s airline travel in modern society. Air travel has become the main mean of transportation, especially in the process of globalization. People cannot travel between all continents by land and at the same time saving their time. A highly productive society requires productive and efficient work, where an individual has to finish tasks in short terms. This is where we stumble on to air travel, but what is peculiar is that there are not many national air travel companies, and we often hear that once in a while an air travel company may go bankrupt. Thereby it is very interesting to figure how air travel has developed in the previous century and what are today’s trends for further progress.

Air travel companies have become very influential in our societies, they are rarely local thus their revenue is outstanding. Since there are only a number of national air travel companies, they have all the conditions to dump their prices and most citizens will have to agree to their conditions because modern business lifestyles will oblige them. However it is important to remark that airline companies are very dependent on fuel prices and customer response. In the globalization process competition arise everyday, we see the appearance of new international companies whose task is to attain new markets, and hence airline companies force each other to lower prices and improve airline services and safety regulations. Airline service providers nowadays cannot function without competition threat and the ones that wish survive and maintain their positions on the market must implement Porters five forces model of competition as the ideal strategy (Investopedia, 2009).

This visual aid was created to show that a deep analysis of air travel is needed because specifically this mean of transportation is most efficient in a fast-pacing world. The information used to study this topic is modern articles and scholarly works which view some important aspects of this industry.
