Visual Pathway and Visual Disorders, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 321

Essay

The visual pathway is the specific lane that is able to pass on the images from the actual source towards the brain. The brain then takes the function of interpreting the meaning of the images as they are presented through the visual pathways. Understandably, when the pathway then becomes injured then the interpretation of the images becomes harder to pass through and thus also becoming harder to provide meaning that would create an understanding to the one seeing the said image. Relatively, the processes by which the images pass on from the visual pathways affect the creation of meaning for the ones who are looking through the said visual presentations.

In this regard, once the identification of meaning becomes misrepresented then the understanding of the ones visually seeing the images would become wrongly defined as well. The brain activity then becomes less able to meet up with the function of the visual pathway. In relation to this, the result of the interpretation disables the individual’s capacity to respond accordingly to the image that he sees. This is when the visual disorder occurs.

Not only does the system’s inability to operate properly affect the vision and interpretation itself, it also affects the balance and posture of the individuals who are being affected by the said situation. Relatively, the clarity of how one sees the elements of the environment that he is living in contribute to his balance as well as with the internal capacity that he has when it comes to deciding on matters that directly affect his personal being. Overall, the situational conditions that render the visual pathways to particular disturbances affect not only the visual function but also that of the entire being of the individual affected by the said situation. The effect goes beyond physical issues, instead, the whole issue affects the individual concerned in a psychological matter as well as it affects his capacity to decide on matters properly.
