Every person belongs to a kinship or a descendent. A descent group comprises of members who share a common ancestor. The descendants believed to learn skills, improve on them, and pass the knowledge to the next generation. Kinship is all about right, duties, obligations and inheritance of wealth.

The descent groups expose the human population to different environments; thus, the humans develop an adaptation to the environment at hand. Thus at least in every sought of environment, there exist a human being habiting it. Having in mind that there is always a rapid change in the environment, the descendants at hand take into behavioral and cultural adaptations to fit into the environment. They could even adapt different farming systems to adapt the environment.

Descent and kinship also associate closely to the cultural believes. Most evolutionary anthropologists consider evolutionary endowment as cultural species. The ability to copy or rather learn from others marks an adaptation where cultural transmission generates aspects of human behavior. This focuses on the cultural transmission on the benefits of helping humans adapt to their environments. In this case, people learn to avoid mismatches that exist between environments in that they can easily adapt into available living conditions.

Kinship and descent thus plays a key role in determining human behavior and adaptation into the environment with various domains. The woman, in most cultures has to be married. In marriage, the woman from a different kinship or descent joins a new family. In this case, the woman taught different behavior and diverge social cultures. She is to adapt them to fit into the new environment.

The discussion clearly shows how significant descent and kinship is. It helps human adaptation into the different environments in one way or another.
