Essay

What are three components of the course you valued the most in studying the Humanities this semester? Explain “why” you chose these three components?

Among the three components that I learned from studying humanities include understanding the values of communication and how it establishes social connection among people. I gained proper understanding on how I should value communication accordingly and how I should view the said matter with full comprehension on how it should determine my relationship with people I mingle with and with those I get acquainted with. Another component is that of the concept of human relationships and how emotion actually rules the consideration over the fact that identifies well with the practical way by which people are able to establish connections with others. I now view my emotions to be a specific element that could identify the way I value other people based from the connection I share with them. The theories surrounding this concept taught me how to judge the way I feel and how I should understand its value in consideration to how I deal with others. Since there are instances when the concept of emotion could actually be treacherous due to particular human imbalances, I learned how I should not let my moods interfere with the real meaning of connection I share with particular individuals surrounding me.

Considerably, the most important component of humanities I learned from the course is the fact that people are different from each other and such uniqueness makes it possible for them to understand matters differently and take on several options to determine their decisions that will turn their lives around. This constitutes the manner by which humans are to take into account the need to understand others based on such uniqueness and not expect something different from them apart from what or who they really are. Only through this understanding that good relationships could be established accordingly.

Include in your essay one of “The Top Ten Reasons to Study the Humanities” that best ties into these three components.

Human culture and the nature of being a human being is complex part of human science. Understanding the different aspects of human relationship and how such connections are actually established does so much to help individuals become more realistic with their expectations and more reasonable when it comes to dealing with particular conflicts with their partners and other people who they are connected with. The practical indication and explanation of theories surrounding such facts and indicative acts that exist between people from all different walks of life specifically allow them to become more effective in establishing relationships that are best able to determine their desired connection with others.

Establishing the real values of emotions and communication altogether to make a distinct impact on how such relationships are created makes a realistic approach on how human basics are identified well especially when it comes to making specific assessment on how particular relationships are developed. Conflict is one element that cannot be avoided in making up relationships between people coming from different cultures and different backgrounds. Through studying the concepts grounded upon the study of humanities, one would be able to manage the occurrence of such conflicts and make use of the lessons taken from it in a more beneficial manner that establishes stronger points of connection between human individuals. Through such approach to understanding the basics of human living, one would best gain the benefits provided by studying a particular course in humanities and make use of the lessons taken from it in actual relationships that he may be dealing with and he desires to keep.
