What I Would Like to Learn From the Class, Essay Example

During the course of classes, I would like to learn how to develop an idea, create a venture, plan a business for success. I understand that today, entrepreneurial approach towards business is essential, therefore, this course is a crucial part of the MBA training. I would also like to learn the basic concepts of entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurial ventures. I would like to learn all the aspects of creating a business, and while some people would think that a new, unique idea is enough, I know that developing an organized system, creating competencies and competitive advantage is just as important.

Further, I would like to find out more about financing a new business in order to be able to support entrepreneurs in the future, and maybe to create a venture on my own. Most importantly, however, I would like to know the processes behind making a business idea successful. Today, more small start-up businesses fail than those that succeed. Among those failed businesses, there are many that started with a brilliant idea, but the organization, business planning, or marketing did not serve the interest of the business. I an interested in the process of effective commercialization, mentioned in the course description. I guess knowing the principles of the above would allow start up businesses successfully turn ideas into a profitable business. I would like to study cases of successful and not so successful start-ups, to learn how to determine the drawbacks and common mistakes of becoming an entrepreneur. Finally, I would like to learn the process of targeting, customer discovery, in order to understand how a newly created business can “break into” an established market by creating trust and building a reputation.
