What is a human factors analysis, and why is it necessary to conduct one at different stages throughout the system design process?

Human Factors Analysis is one element that is used to identify the emergence of human work as it implies a distinct effect on the final results that are attested as important especially when it comes to creating or manufacturing parts of aircrafts. Relatively, this element imposes on how the skills and talents of humans affect the overall concept of production that that machineries are expected to take into account (Blanchard, 2004). Noticeably, it could be understood that human factor analysis entails to survey how human work affects the overall integrity of the final production. With the involvement of humans in the process of production, it is expected that the process would be more detailed in nature. However, it could not be denied that there are instances when human-involvement in such procedure includes margins of mistakes that often jeopardize the quality of the final products released from the production line.

In logistics design, human factor analysis intends to examine how modern improvements in technology appraise human work and the other way around as well (Blanchard, 2004). Considerably, through such measurement emerges the condition by which human errors could be reduced through compatible technological add-ins into the system (Wiegmann, et al, 2003); while machine-mistakes are balanced out through the involvement of human intervention during the production process. With the application of good human factors analysis procedures, the need to pinpoint human error when particular accidents occur would be much easier to accomplish; therefore resolving issues faster. At the same rate, responding to the needed adjustments in the production process could be immediately resolved so as to improve the way the production options are opened for the sake of improving public safety.
