Essay

In a matter of moments, Captain Reilly quickly determined the killer that forced his 25-year friendship to come to a screaming halt.  John Adams was found dead after being shot three times.  He crawled 50 feet away from his office building to the parking lot where he was eventually found deceased laying between a black import automobile and a white mustang, both of which were owned by Adams’ co-workers.  Before he eventually met his demise, Adams’ bloody hand print was found on the front fender of his secretary’s Volkswagen.  Adams had worked with Reilly hundreds of times as a lawyer through the prestigious law firm of Adams, Grey and Anderson.  Reilly was notified of his friend’s death before enjoying his new sausage grinder when Sgt. Gerritts phoned his residence.  Gerritts informed Adams of the details of the crime scene and provided Reilly with a letter that was found at the scene by the attending police officers.  The letter read “Ifea rfo rmylif eia mdeat hlyafr aidm ycowor keri stryin gtok illm etha tisal lic ams ay -John Adams.”  After decoding the message, Reilly determined that it was Adams’ secretary that shot him.  She was immediately brought in for questioning and quickly admitted guilt to the murder of John Adams.
