Walt Disney had a dream, and in his dream, children were the major target. Through this, the present day Disneyland came to be. Disneyland brings together the world of fantasy as a well as whimsies that every child or adult could ever dream of in their imaginations (Gottdiener 140). Located at the sunny southern California, this is one of the most eclectic places to visit. It is mostly preferable for people intending to go for a vacation or for those who have been experiencing a long week of work and just need time to unwind from their busy schedule. A trip to this place automatically takes you to a world of fantasy and imaginations that every individual could ever dream.

Disneyland as a theme park has turned many heads as a postmodern environment, which brings various imaginations into reality. Through simulation and hyperreal, this park tends to create an illusion through which children can leave the world of reality to the world of fantasies. What makes the place a perfect destination is the ability to present various social aspects in their entirety. Despite bringing a sense of entertainment, Disneyland also present a number of social values that children can learn and emulate.

In this park, social control has been refined into art, an art of entertaining crowd through their inspirations rather than coercion. In this place, people build their own castles and illusions. The inbuilt environment is quite impressive and entertaining, every structures within the premise holds a symbolic value just like the ancient cities and structures.

Not only is it a theme park for children and adults to get entertainment, it is also a place that creates a reflection of the outside culture on the modernized environment. It is like a microcosm with features that offer entertainment, amusement, as well as safety (Weinstein 140). Most parents buy into the idea of spending their vacations with their children in places that are full of fun and safe. The place provides all forms of conveniences that the children and their parents may need for their fun. Since this place was created with children in mind, most adults admit that it takes them back to their childhood days. Disney indeed knew that the best way to bring back whimsy was getting children involved hence making the fun complete.

Every person visiting Disneyland must always have something to enjoy. It is the only place, where learning and fun co-exists in the same realms. Children can therefore learn while getting entertained at the same time. The exiting features at this place make it practically impossible for children to leave without getting any substantive leaning as well as getting entertained. One of the most popular and favorites of Disneyland’s are the Mickey’s Toons town and the Fantasyland. The moment these children step into it, they automatically become part of it. Nothing amuses children more than playing and walking hand in hand with snow white, Mickey Mouse, Minnie mouse and Goofy among others. It brings out a feeling of walking inside their most admired childhood fairy tales.

Among the things that make Disneyland perfect for children vacation is variety as well as opportunity. Kids that move to Disneyland enjoy perfect moments to move from the real world into a world of fantasy and magic. The characters in Disneyland bring children closer to the fairy tales that in most cases they read in class or watch on televisions. They thus see the purpose and intent of fairy tales that mostly they discussed in class. For instance, in the story of snow white and the 7 dwarfs; not only do the children learn about the most handsome prince who loved and rescued snow white, but also they learn about tolerance in life. The manner in which the princes accepted the seven dwarfs despite them not physically pleasing. Also, right and wrong are presented in a very clear manner that the children can easily notice. This enhances their reasoning as well as ability to comprehend between wrong and evil.

In addition, a number of entertainments, participation, and ideas that the children encounter at Disneyland are perfectly meant to enhance their levels of creativity as well as curiosity (Terrell 150). The adventure land opens a whole new world which is a perfect reflection of the things that happen in the real world. Other places like the New Orleans Square gives children a perfect view of the New Orleans in 19^th century; bringing in the haunted mansions as well as the days of pirates in the high seas.

Disneyland offers children with the ability to view the world in which they live in the present, past and the future in a simple and vey vivid manner. This gives them a perfect treasure of sweet memories to live with always.

Most cultural analyst say that the place has an invocation of middle class attributes and values, mid-American life, which are some f the moral and cultural values of the owner himself. This brings an articulation of myths and realities that in most cases are fantasized. Thus, all the structures bring interpretations of various designs and values that were used in the ancient world.

Disneyland is created according to the wishes of its designer and creator thus bringing in a reflection of his personal perceptions about life (Neuman 90). Thus, it brings in a three dimensional work of popular entertainment arts for people. Its theme involves the presentation of a small town life in which the loss of individuality was the only price for participation. It has been regarded as one of the most exiting places since most people especially those living around California conform to it. The values that the park reflects are similar to that of the people around. This makes it easy for them to interact and enjoy every moment inside. It is worth noting that at Disneyland, architecture, characters, food, employee costumes, landscaping and merchandise all combine in harmony and perfectly fits together. The flow of things and activities here is smooth hence making it easy for one to follow happenings and events.

In conclusion, Disneyland is one of the best places for one to visit, especially with children. It contains a number of values that children can easily practice in the normal life to help them. The sense of creativity, as well as the ability to interact with two worlds at the same time, makes it remarkable very entertaining. This is why it is considered the most comfortable place on the planet.
