Why I Want to Be a Chef, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 294

Essay

One thing I love about the chef’s field is the massive opportunities available in this field. There are so many people enquiring for hotel services as they party during holidays and increasing the demand of a Chef’s services.  I sit down and think how chefs command a six-figure income and it just keeps my high spirits in perfecting my career in this field.

A chef’s profession is really an exciting career. It is my dream to create menus and deliver dining experiences of a kind that people love. This makes one feel a winner and I believe as a chef I can make it happen. You cannot ignore the opportunities of meeting celebrities or even royal families, prepare their meals, and share time with them. This is what the chef’s field can create and make you a celebrity as well. I want a chance to create culinary product lines, write best-selling cookbooks and host popular television shows because I know the chef’s field can take you this far.

The best part comes in when majoring in my field of interest. I know I will end up in a restaurant as a Pastry Chef because this is what I love to do. I want to command the creation of tempting baked goods and desserts all because I have the necessary skills. After all, I know that I still can manage to start as a Commis Chef in the other fields for instance Executive Chef working under professionals before I get the relevant skills to reach this far. The chef’s profession offers the best entry-level position involving helping professionals in the kitchen and getting the relevant skills. It is the best chance for me to work my way up and get into bigger positions in this beautiful career.
