Why I Want to Join the National Honor Society, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 280

Essay

The National Honor Society is one of the most prestigious organizations in the entire nation and there are several reasons why I want to join, it can be argued that it is an opportunity that only a few people get. Being a part of the National Honor Society can teach me so much and I am willing to learn all that the chapter can teach me, I’ve wanted to join ever since I was told about it.

The National Honor Society encompasses hard work, compassion for helping other students and the eagerness to help my fellow student body; it is a responsibility that I am more than ready for.

Leadership skills is one of the essential elements that I know the National Honor Society teach and I feel that the skills that I will learn while in the National Honor Society will take me very far, I’m looking forward to being able to pass what I learn here onto others so that I may help them reach their full potential the way I know your organization will help me reach mine.

There has been a lot of talk about the scholarship opportunities based on the amount of hours that a person devotes to the National Honor Society, but I don’t care about that; I only care about helping my fellow students do the great things that I know they are capable of. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society chapter would set me a part from those who just want to make it through school, keeping up my GPA gives me a reason to get up in the morning and getting into the National Honor Society would further motivate me to do.
