Why Prostitution Is Highly Evident In LGBT Communities, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 368

Essay

LGBT or Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender members of the society are often noted as minor members of the modern communities. It is because of this that there are only a few members of the society who would actually want to get involved with them in a romantic level. The idea of putting themselves into such a complicated situation has practically discouraged them into getting romantically involved with the said members of the society. Such aspect of being shunned away has caused the members of the LGBT to find a way to get attention from social members who they want to share relationship with. Somehow, a relative response to such need includes paying for the sexual service that the said individuals could give.

Seemingly giving an easier source of income, people come into the system and engage in transactions that would involve providing sexual service and getting higher rate compared to clients who are coming from the opposite sex. Relatively, given that the service the prostitutes are to provide is different from the usual, they are paid higher by members of the LGBT society. Basically, knowing this fact, prostitutes would choose to take into account the chance to earn more from the service that they are willing to provide their clients with.

Prostitution is already an established institution in the society [even in the supposedly conservative communities]. Practically, not being able to find a job that fits their qualifications or perhaps their demands for better income, individuals willing to engage in prostitution would of course look for better options of earning from the said industry which includes the possibility of serving members of the LGBT as they are likely to pay higher. The willingness of the LGBT society to welcome such institution of work into their communities makes them one of the best clients in the industry. The openness of prostitution in LGBT lifestyle makes it easier for the prostitutes to set sail towards the desire of serving members of the said community further.
