Essay

The supervisor of a bistro near the university belt has been interviewed for this particular activity. The interviewee mentioned that she has already been with the organization for at least 19 years and somehow, this point of involvement with the organization does create a sense of accomplishment for her especially that she claims how this organization was probably one of the best institutions she has ever worked for. Being in the food industry, she mentions how concern for the health of the people is a vital part of the service they provide to the community. This is why there are protocol guidelines that they need to follow especially for the sake of assuring the health safety of the customers and the integrity of the products that they offer the public with.

To make sure that the goal of providing customer satisfaction is met every day, the interviewee mentioned that she has seen how the administrators promote a cultural camaraderie among all the staff members, empowering them to work in teams and be more functional through the use of the concept of effective team work that identifies well with the goal of the organization to promote unity and functionality among the people. To further improve the performance of each individual, the organization also provides incentives that makes it easier for the employees to realize their worth and the importance that the administrators particularly give attention to especially in assuring them that their hard work is duly recognized. This serve as a point of motivation that the workers are able to use as stepping stone towards embracing a more distinct sense of functionality among themselves as they work with the others in the team.

Promotional points, according to the interviewee, are one of the most important tools that the administration uses in order to boost worker-morale. Giving them a chance to step up the ladder towards administrational hierarchy, the employees are not rated for seniority but most importantly dependent on their level of performance; an element that determines their capacities and their willingness to put forth their effort and provide the organization with the best fruits of their talents. This further provides a sense of motivation among the workers which empowers them to always do better. A proof of this non-seniority promotional culture is the choosing of two employee of the month and having them recognized by everyone else during a regular company meeting as well as providing them monetary incentives added directly to their salaries or as gift cards they could use for basic purchases. Another good incentive provided by the organization is the financial support [in the form of free tuition] given to regular employees if they would want to pursue their studies while working in the bistro. This is provided to those who would like to take courses that are closely related to their work in the bistro; the administrators clearly see such option as a form of investment in the people as they are equipped to bring the organization into farther heights of success in the future.

To make sure that the foundation of the team players is solid, the administration champions to establish good communication with everyone else. The condition of promoting open communication with the employees help the management resolve issues accordingly especially in support to the creation of lesser gap between employers and administrators. The interviewee proudly says that they are being heard by the administrators each time decisions are being made, especially in relation to particular changes that the business might need to undergo. This culture has been a base consideration for administrators as they recognize that the workers are the front-liners in the business making their opinion important when particular changes ought to be made.
