Yoga Spinal Flexion Positions and Vertebral Compression Fracture in Osteopenia or Osteoporosis of Spine: Case Series

The article described a study involving three patient who were followed during a pain management program. There Was limited description of the method used, procedures employed to collect data collection along with the data analysis techniques applied in arriving at the findings declared by this researcher. From this perspective the reader in examining the results could see many discrepancies in the study since there were not distinct methodologies whether qualitative or quantitative. As such, it could be argued that these findings lack validity/ reliability. Importantly, no key terms were mentioned or concepts defined. Therefore, the article does not display full features of a scientific study even though the authors try to allow readers to feel that it is a research conducted for scientific purposes.

A supporting article relating vertebral compression factures reviewing current management and multidimensional therapy clearly offers an extensive literature review of studies that were conducted regarding vertebral compression fractures management. The authors did not say what of type method was used, but the reader could understand that it was a qualitative exploration offered by one with an expert opinion. The strength of this report is that the authors elaborated on the extent to which therapies are beneficial by detailing specific interventions. A major weakness, however, lay in a not relating to the reading audience the  ue of a precise  methodology. A similar weakness was displayed in the original article‘Yoga Spinal Flexion Positions and Vertebral Compression Fracture in Osteopenia or Osteoporosis of Spine: Case Series’. The knowledge for application which can be applied pertains to using asceintifc methodology if the study is to be accepted as authentic.
