YouTube New Layout, Research Paper Example

Marketing is an essential element to business as it is the primary factor in attracting a solid consumer base which in turn generates sales revenue. In this digital society, social networking has become one of the main sources for marketing. One social video sharing network that has made the greatest impact on marketing is that of You Tube. Many business use You Tube to post video advertisements for possible customers. More financially stable businesses such as publically traded companies will often pay You Tube to post more advertisements for their products; even on pages where the viewers are not seeking such products. You Tube would refer to such payments from businesses as “ad revenue”.  (Larmand, 2015)

You Tube has its effect on human relations and hiring because it gives employers a more convenient way to seek possible employees. For example, an employee candidate may post a video of their work, skills, and qualifications and send it to an employer for evaluation. Employers may also post job advertisements on You Tube so that candidates know exactly the kind of job which they are applying for. (Davidson, 2013)

You Tube makes an impact on International Business because most major companies operate on a global scale. This allows them to post advertisements on You Tube in various foreign languages pertaining to the country branch in which they are operating. You Tube is already available in multiple languages and international businesses have taken advantage of this. (Davidson, 2013)

Different cultures have used social video media networks such as You Tube for many reasons. These reasons may include business, economics, education, and even issues pertaining to war. The culture that has probably taken the biggest advantage of You Tube is that of pop culture. Also, countries in the Middle East have used You Tube to post videos of the issues that are going on with military extremists. Many countries in Africa have used You Tube to show the world how harsh conditions are. Because You Tube is a tool that anybody may use; just about every culture has used it. (Shinobi, 2012)
