There are many kinds of herbs that have the ability to enhance the treatment of heart problems. The herbs discussed today will be as follows: Green Tea, Garlic (Allium sativum), Hawthorn (CrataegusOxycanthus), Lavender, and Ginseng.

Green tea is made from the leaves of C. sinensis, which are originally from Eastern Asia.  Despite its many known uses, it is also used to prevent certain heart diseases and to improve the condition and health of blood vessels near or around the heart. Green tea has been shown to better the performance of cells that align blood vessels around the heart. One must recall that these kinds of vessels are very delicate. As a matter of fact, green tea is so effective that it has been proved to improve blood vessels and their functions within as short as thirty minutes after consumption. Drinking green tea has few side effects, which may include headaches, dizziness, and GI symptoms. Although rare, green tea may also prevent the absorption of iron.

There have been claims that garlic (Allium sativum) has an upwards of 195 medical uses. This particular herb is good for the heart because of the manner in which is reduces cholesterol levels and puts them at an equilibrium. Also, it can help as a blood pressure normalizer. Side effects of taking garlic mostly include minimal things such as garlic breathor body odors. Some cases have been reported where garlic was the cause for allergic reactions.

Hawthorn (CrataegusOxycanthus) is known for its ability to lower blood pressure. As a result, a person is able to have a much stronger heart with an increased blood circulation to and from the heart. Side effects are very minimal when taken under the normal dosage. A excess of a prescribed dosage can result in hypotension and sedation.

Lavender oil is known for helping strengthen the hearts cardiac muscles. This causes an improvement in the contraction and relaxation in both the hearts ventricles and arteries. This herb is unique in its ability to reduce hypertension as well. Just like the other herbs listed above, the side effects of using lavender oil are minimal, usually involving only allergic reactions. There have been small cases when individuals have experienced vomiting, nausea, headaches, and chills.

Ginseng is known for being an immune system booster. Ginseng has been proven to be very effective in reducing blood pressure as well as to reduce heart disease risk. One of the risks involved with using ginseng on some individuals is that it might increase blood pressure. Other
