A Kidney Organ, Research Paper Example

Research Paper

I think I could live without a kidney because this kidney organ is the least organ to protect the homeostatic functions of an anatomical body system. Especially, the urinary system in which enables the functionality of storing and releasing of water, filtrating blood and fuel waste. In the kidney system, a pair of soft organs located against the posterior abdominal wall on the lateral midline of the body, one on the right and one to the left in the back of the stomach cavity. They are about 4 to 5 inches in length and the size of fist in width.  Adjoining substances of hilum of a concave margin, is where the renal artery, renal vein, nerves, and ureter join the kidney.  Which, this is unlikely in any structural organ that has the protective layer of fat and fibrous membrane. Inside of the kidney, they are divided into the three regions: renal pelvis, renal medulla, and renal cortex besides the electrolytes (i.e., arteries, veins, nerves, and ureter).  Each function has its own task of storing and releasing the water, reuptake blood flow and waste the fuel. The adjoining substances are usually metabolized and enzyme with and by the minerals, amino acids, toxins, and blood in the transfusion process. The control of fluid flows and the balances of electrolytes in which creates the urine in the renal pelvis and release the urine through the ureter to the bladder. Thus, the blood passes through the kidneys several times a day in order for the kidney to regulate all of other connective organs throughout the body. While, the renal medulla regulate the cells onto the membranes, where the enzyme action and electrolytes occurs in the kidney binding sites of the renal cortex. Because they rely on the glucose production, that can boost the energy of ones body to perform an activity. When one kidney is injured by a pathological insult, it is then, can be removed from the lesion area by surgery, as a last resort or an optional treatment.  This is where I suspected that I might have the same abilities as I once had two kidneys to perform at best.
