A Letter to the CEO, Essay Example

Essay

Your name, address, contact

CEO, address, contact, date

Dear ——:

My intent in writing you, sir, is two-fold. To begin, I want very much to express how pleased I have been to be employed in your company for the last seven years. That I have been able to remain a productive, and highly satisfied, employee all this time while continuing my education is no small testimony to the company itself. I personally know of other students in my position who have been compelled to leave their jobs, simply because the two pursuits created too much conflict. At —-, however, I have been fortunate to experience a completely different scenario. My efforts at school have been encouraged, even as my progress at the company has been acknowledged and nurtured. This greatly goes to my determination to remain with the company.

To that end, my second intent must be expressed. As I near completing my examinations and attaining my degree in nursing, the expenses for my schooling must be met. Much of this I have done myself, but I am emboldened by the treatment I have thus far received from the company to request some form of educational reimbursement. Please know, before you even consider my request, that it is based on my desire to remain with the company, and turn my advanced education to practical use within it. I suppose that, in a sense, I am asking you to have faith in me, yet I would not approach the subject if I did not have good reason to believe that this faith already exists, as I have benefited from it over the years. Moreover, I assure you this is no plea for financial aid made casually. If the company assists me in paying my school balances, I would be more than glad to reflect my appreciation – and my commitment – in the form of an employment contract. Most of all, sir, I ask that this request be considered so that I may be enabled to “give back” to the company giving so much to me.

Thanking you for your consideration, I am

Sincerely,
