• Reading to your children

It important for a parent to set aside a time period within a day or by use of any regular other method in which he/she will read aloud to the children. • Monitor children’s progress

The parents should be on the forefront of ensuring that they understand their children’s progress to ascertain if it is as expected. It is important to find out the various reading skills the children are expected to have when they reach a given grade level in their education. The good thing is that such information is readily available at the various schools or educational centers in which such students attend.
