The Solution to Motor Vehicles Air Pollution

Many of the people around the world are suffering from the motor vehicle air pollution. They release carbon monoxide and carbon four oxide which causes global warming and climate change. The global warming leads to hunger hence death. Therefore, there are some of the alternatives that the consumers and the government should look at to reduce the effects of the caused by fuel pollution. Let us look at some of the possible alternatives.

Reducing dependence on the Motor Vehicle

This is an essential plan for reducing air pollution from individual transportation. The decision on the land use, like the expansion of the suburban areas consequently affects the choices of transportation and the quality of air. The reduction of motor vehicle dependency will also require the government to encourage more complete urban developments. The government might even decide to increase the parking price for all the vehicles. This will force that only those who will afford the price will drive the vehicles. The price will ensure that the amount of gases subjected to the air wills b e limited(Charlene, 2006).

Encouraging other means of transport

The government should increase other means of transport such as the boats and the airplanes. The transport prices should be made affordable to every class of people. In air transport, the price for the plane fuel should be reduced to the vendors. Following this path will ensure that transportation is cheap and affordable. This will ensure that the number of motor vehicle reduce since transportation will be made faster and cheaper through the planes. The plane runoffs should be building in each an every state to make it convenient to travel any where at any time and to take the passengers to any place they prefer. The number of the boats at the marines should also be increased to ensure that some of the people travel with the boats (Charlene, 2006).

The use of Alternative Fuels

These are fuels that stand for the replacement of petroleum fuels such as gasoline and diesel. They yield the clean energy which is friendly to the environment. Some of these fuels are renewable, therefore referred to as the agricultural- based type of fuel. The government has tried to bring some of the alternative fuels to reduce the air pollution done by the motor vehicles. One of them is a compressed gas which consists of little amounts of propane and butane. It can be obtained through the winning of crude oil or directly from natural gas fields. Since it is a natural gas, it is considered non poison and less pollutant than the gasoline and the diesel. The second one is the liquefied petroleum gas, which is a mixture of propane and butane. It is produced when butane and propane are extracted from the natural gas (Richard, 2002). The government finds it cheaper to refine it. The government has also brought the bio-diesel which is made from the vegetable oil and the fats from animals. Since it is oxygenated, it burns cleaner and has higher lubrication than the conventional diesel. It also creates new market for our farmers hence making it not harmful to the environment.

In conclusion, my approach will go to consumers since they are the people mostly affected by the pollution. Consumers should ensure that they use the required fuel that the government have introduced to drive their vehicles. They should also ensure to reduce the use of motor vehicles for about 30% per week. This will ensure that the air is always clean and the air pollution caused by motor vehicles will have been reduced (Richard, 2002).
