Anatomy and Physiology II, Reaction Paper Example

I enrolled in Anatomy and Physiology II because I was extremely interested in the medical science field and how the relationship between body form and physiological components of the body interacted.  After completing this course, I have developed a greater understanding and appreciation for the mechanics and biological interaction involved in movement and processes of the body.   In addition, this has provided a more in depth understanding of how disease is related to human physiology, which has been extremely helpful since I am interested in becoming a pharmacist.  I have been particularly interested in the biological and environmental influences that contribute to disease, as well as how individuals rely on the pharmaceutical industry to help the disease process. I firmly believe that understanding how different drugs exhibit pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics effects is essential to my ability to become an effective pharmacist.

Overall, my participation in this course was a positive and challenging experience, particularly memorizing both the physiological functions and anatomical structures of the human body.  If I could provide advice for prospective students, I suggest an early start on assignments for full understanding.  Comprehensive knowledge about how the different systems and how the organs function within each system, the connections between body systems, and how the body adjusts to different environmental and physiological changes is important for any student with interests in the medical field.

Initially, I was skeptical about working in a team during this class; however, I found that my classmates were highly supportive and were just as interested in learning this topic as I was.  I also found it as an effective skill to learn how to work in a team and complete a task, not only for continuing on to pharmaceutical school, but in joining the workforce. Overall, this class was a positive experience and I appreciate the support I received from my team, the class and the professor.
